Welcome
We are trying to translate all the website, some sections are still in spanish, please be patient with us.
Canine Miracles (Milagros Caninos as in Spanish), is the first Sanctuary for dogs in extreme situations like: cancer, lame, blind, deaf, completely burned, terribly tortured, paralytic, raped, drugged, etc. Here, we give them the opportunity of having a worthy life inside a place where they can live with food, open spaces to run and play, but mainly, full of love, something that perhaps they never had before.
On April 2004, “Clavo” (Nail as in English) my dachshund died. I always knew the meaning of his life: to play with my children, give us company and bring joy to our lives; but I did not understand the meaning of his death. So, I started, before I knew, rescuing dogs, first one, and then another one and so forth. My eyes were always focused on a dog in pain.
“Clavo’s” death was something very difficult to accept. I still miss him, but I perfectly know that the meaning of his death is now called Canine Miracles. I am pretty sure that he, no matter where he is, is responsible for what my eyes see because I see what others can’t; he makes my ears listen whines of pain perhaps imperceptible for the rest of people; it also makes my hands feel others’ misfortune.
I can also bet that he causes other people to be more sensible and be able to see dogs as friends and not as perfect means of getting their frustrations out by striking, burning or letting them die of hunger.
